Mission Statement

SJV Water is an independent, nonprofit news site dedicated to providing unbiased news
about water in the San Joaquin Valley.

Our goal is to help inform the public about how this vital resource is, used, regulated,
traded and sold; who the decision makers are; and how those decisions affect families
and our economy.

We recognize water is a complex subject and strive to make sure our reporting considers
all points of view, without favoritism or espousing any particular agenda.

And we hope to do all this in the most plain spoken, easy-to-understand manner to
benefit average, everyday readers.
