Jennifer Burger
Treasurer
Jennifer is the editor of the College Journalism Network at the nonprofit news organization CalMatters, which covers California state policy. Her journalism career has spanned working as a reporter and editor for newspapers throughout California, including The Bakersfield Californian, and also teaching journalism and advising student media at California State University, Bakersfield. She has journalism degrees from Sacramento State University and UC Berkeley. She is also a Girl Scout leader and loves hiking, backpacking and kayaking.

Jorge Barrientos
President
Jorge is the director of marketing and public relations at Chain | Cohn | Clark law office in Bakersfield. He serves on board of directors for a variety of community organizations including The Hub of Bakersfield, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (Kern County Chapter), and Kern County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Business Education Foundation. When he’s not working or serving our community, you can find him traveling the world and hanging with his family, which includes wife Carla, 4-year-old son Julian, 1.5-year-old daughter Gianna Sol.

Raji Brar
Secretary
Raji is a first-generation Sikh American whose parents immigrated from Punjab, India. She earned degrees in biology and health care administration at California State University, Bakersfield and worked as a chemist before joining her family in Countryside Corporation, a real estate, construction and retail development.
